Usually precious metals like Karat Gold and Platinum are used heavily in watch making.

Karat gold refers to the mixing of gold and other metals. 24K gold is too soft and not suitable for the production of watches, therefore it must be mixed with other metals to strengthen the hardness. The proportion of manufacturing gold watches accounted for 75%, so we call the 18K gold or 750, while other metals used are silver, copper and palladium, with different proportions of these materials, will produce different kind of K gold, and they are the familiar with 18K yellow gold, rose gold and white gold.

While platinum is a rare and expensive world of natural pure white precious metal, hard twice but rare than gold 30 times. Platinum Jin Guangze bright, natural white, purity up to 90%, often wearing and will not fade. General manufacturing watch is 95% platinum, called PT950.
