Panerai has been playing material superbly in recent years; the PVD black case, Bronzo, Composite each need special techniques. This year Panerai develop "Carbotech", a carbon fiber composite material. Although other brands have been using carbon fiber, but Panerai always made it so differently: a different texture, color is different, unexpected always.

Panerai made watch cases by carbon fiber before. but this time they use seven carbon fiber sheet to compose the material, adding a high-tech polymer PEEK between each layer, then form a block by high pressure compression. Carbotech will exhibit uneven matte black appearance, the color will vary by different cutting processes, each one watch is unique. Carbotech blue lettering on the dial, black rubber strap with a blue printed OP mark are all attractive. The bottom of titanium metal cover also engraved with torpedo design, every detail of these design are in line with the brand's history.

Montrez believe many people will take Panerai Carbotech and Audemars Piguet Forged Carbon for comparison. Forged carbon is crafted from carbon fiber lines,  texture is relatively mixed, whereas Carbotech texture is more tidy, but both are lighter than titanium, harder than steel, each have their own characteristics!
